Find Me...

It's not that I want to wish Time away.

I don't.

I know how precious it is.

It's just that, well, it was just so hot these

past few days.

And I was barefoot

or in sandles

showing teal painted toes.

And I felt the sun on my skin...

...and, well,

I'm gone...

Find me.

Or not.

Still summer dreamin'

Finding Happy

Just a saying I tell myself often.

It also helps to

have another sunny day off...

Seems like I am walking through

a Silly Tunnel this weekend,

because of yesterday

and now this morning...

I have to share another funny

tale

with you:

I took my little Ellie (toy fox terrior)

for a long walk early this morning

before it got too hot.

Along our way,

a car pulled up and parked along

the road, right in front of us,

blocking our path.

I then noticed that there was

a garage sale nearby...

A couple (about 40 yrs old), got out.

Ellie immediately walked right up

and began barking. I apologized

and explained that she doesn't like men

at first,

but that she's friendly and won't bite,

(and yes, she's protecting me!).

The man backed off while his wife

explained that they are dog lovers.

She then gets down low, puts her hand

out to Ellie, and exclaims,

"She is so cute;

I want to take her home

and put pajamas on her!"

REALLY?

WOW!

This gets more odd and funny to me every hour...!!

Hmmm.

So, my funniest part of the day happened

early...

Clarity and Beauty

I have been visiting and lovin' your blogs,

but I haven't visited my own this past week.

Some weeks are like that.

Busy

good.

I painted and gessoed and painted some more...

and then found this photo

and well, I ended up covering up most of my paint

but I just needed to use this photo

with the gorgeous henna hands

and peaceful softness.

And then I doodled

and used tapes

and wrote with my trusted

fine point Sharpie markers.

And I felt peaceful.

That's what I love about journaling.

Moon Magic

...and dance by the light of the moon...

Watching it first come up on the horizon,

golden and glowing, was spectacular.

Bella Luna!

Then it passed beautifully through ocean-like lines of clouds,

making them silver.

Memories of a Lifetime

You know how you think and feel very deeply
when you go to a wedding
or to a memorial service?

You think about your past, or your future,
or your whole life.

Today was one of those days.

A childhood friend passed away
and today was his memorial
and everyone I grew up with was there
and it was surreal.

Memories swirling all around
all of us.

Friends and neighbors I hadn't seen in 30 years
and it brought back another lifetime.

And Craig,
you would have loved it all.
And we all loved you.
